A few thoughts about rNews
- <article> <taggedBy> <tag> - I think that should be <taggedWith> as "by" suggests that the range will be the person who tagged the article, rather than the tag itself. "tag" is also strongly associated with folksonomy approaches and doesn't seem suitable for associating articles with existing linked data things that have their own URIs (be they open data sets like dbpedia, shared like opencalais, or the provider's own data sets)
- Why have all the relationships and classes been re-invented rather than (for example) being subclasses of existing common ontologies such as foaf, geonames and dc?
- I think there may be errors in some of the range and domain specifications. For example:
>Specifies that a NewsItem is created by the specified Party.</rdfs:comment>
The two domain constraints specify the domain must be a comment AND a news item. I suspect that it is intended to mean a comment OR a news item?

Regarding your question #2, I've posted an answer over in our Frequently Asked Questions.

Regarding your question #1, we'll consider the change in wording; thanks for the suggestion.
W/r/t your objection that "'tag' is [...] strongly associated with folksonomy approaches and doesn't seem suitable [...]" I have to agree that it is used heavily in that area -- but that doesn't make it wrong or unsuitable. Without a better alternative, I would tend to keep it.
But as our mantra goes: we're open to smart suggestions. Please keep 'em coming.
